GMAT: when you need a math test and how to prepare

Il GMAT: quando hai bisogno di un test di matematica e come prepararti

The GMAT is a four-part admissions exam that is often part of the application process for business schools and, therefore, for business master’s programs.

It is a test for which you need to achieve a certain minimum score to be admitted to a (pre-)master or MBA program. The exam assesses your ability to analyze and solve problems using logical reasoning, so it is essentially a math-focused test.

How do I prepare?

This depends on your level of math. If you have already learned a lot of math during your secondary and university studies, you can make great progress through self-study. If math has never been your strong suit or your knowledge is outdated, it’s wise to ask a tutor to help you prepare. More information: info@goingdutch.it! With just a few hours of support, you’ll be ready for your test.

Are there programs without GMAT requirements?

Yes, not all Dutch universities require a GMAT. Some professional master’s programs only require the appropriate bachelor’s degree for admission. If you really don’t like math, it may be better to focus on these types of programs. Examples include the MA at Saxion & Greenwich University, or master’s programs at Rotterdam Business School or Nyenrode Business University.
