Studying medicine in the Netherlands: what you really need to know
If your goal is to study medicine in English in the Netherlands, be aware that options are very limited. Only a few universities (such as Maastricht and Groningen) offer the first three years of the medical degree in English, but the final years must be completed in Dutch, and admission is highly selective. For this reason, we do not recommend the Netherlands for the full medical path unless you already have excellent Dutch proficiency (level B2 or higher) and strong motivation to pass competitive tests and interviews.
If you want to study nursing in English, we suggest considering universities in Belgium, where we collaborate with a specialized partner who can help you find the right solution for you.
